Every time the fund grows, there is a chance that a Gold Box might fall as the server randomly decides if it will or will not drop one. The battle fund does not matter, because the server makes its decision every time the fund goes up by 1 crystal.

Gold box is random and is the chance for it to drop is concerned by the battle fund growth.
