Are full MO more expensive than normal upgrades

If I wait to buy an upgrade , say from M1 to M2, is the same price as fully micro upgrade the M1?

Yes, buy purchasing MUs to get to the next modification, it is more expensive than simply buying it all at once without the MUs.
