tank does not respawn

my tank did not appear in this battle, and prevented me having lots of crystals. What should I do to avoid it next time?

but wont i lose my battle fund crystals?

If you refresh, you will normally respawn back to the battle. You will only gain 1 death/loss, nothing else will change on your score.
