When you MU a paint in your garage, are the numbers the percentage of damage they nullify or are they just numbers? How does that work?

When you Micro Upgrade a paint, the statistic on how much they protect from a particular turret updates with the number of MUs you have installed on that particular paint.

No, what I meant was If a Paint protects 24 against Ricochet, Is that 24%?
