How Does Protection Compare to Double Armor?

I haven't seen a numeric example showing how protection and DA work. Using Smoky M0 vs Wasp M0, I am trying to understand how many shots I can take before I am destroyed with and without protection or DA.

Smokey M0 Damage = 16-20, so average = 18.

Wasp M0 Protection = 65.

So will it take on average 3.6 (3 to 4) hits from Smokey M0 to destroy Wasp M0? (65/18=3.6)

Smokey M0 protection (like all M0 protection) = 10 (like Grizzly TA M0).

So if I equip Grizzly TA M0, do I add the 10 to the Wasp M0 protection to get my new protection? 65+10=75.

Then I can now take 75/18 = 4.1 (4 to 5) hits from Smokey?

If I use DA instead, is my new (45 sec) protection 130? (65 * 2 = 130)

So I would now be able to take, on average, 130/18 = 7.2 (7 to 8) hits from Smokey?

The paint protections are in percentages rather than in pts. Double armor will only double the amount of hp for a limited time(65→130). And if you equip 10% protection from Smoky, you'll receive 1.8pts less damage from an average smoky M0 shot.

GOOD, I'M SATISFIED

Good explanation.
