Drone used 50 batteries in one battle.

I 'bought' a SUPPLIER drone.

The first battle it used 50 batteries.

I was told it uses 1 per minute of battle.

So I am wondering if this is a glitch or something they didn't share?

It appears to have used

1 per minute of battle when not in garage

1 per power up I choose

1 per ally tank for each of those power ups each time

1 per each reentry into the battle after I die.

Glitch or failure to communicate?  Mods say glitch.

I am reluctant to use the drone at all...  and very sparingly (alone) if I do.

NOT what I expected from the write up... 1 battery per minute of game use.
