You can do it by clicking on the "Friends" option. The option outlined in red is "Friends" option. Click on it.
After clicking on it, your friend list will open. Find the player you want to remove in your friend list and click on the "Red cross".
When you click on it you will get a confirmation message, click yes on it and that player will be deleted.
